However, just 3 weeks after we landed, the UK went into the first lockdown!

After the Covid pandemic devastated our businesses and finances in ways we could never have imagined or planned for, we decided we had nothing to lose. This led us to pursue our ultimate ambition of property developing! We sold our family home and, with some investment from friends, we founded BULA Homes, where we focus on home renovation and creating beautiful living spaces.
The Lydden Church
We are excited to announce that BULA Homes has purchased a Church in Lydden! We are in the process of converting this unique building into two stunning three-bedroom homes. These properties will have the 'Wow factor' with mezzanine floors, open plan living areas, oversized windows, luxurious interiors, and thoughtful design features to maximize the views and space available. Our team is collaborating with a fantastic architect, builder, and local trades to ensure a successful home renovation. Sidcup full Renovation
The house is a 2 bed terrace with an upstairs bathroom that we transformed through a home renovation project with BULA Homes. We started by stripping the wallpaper from every wall, clearing the furniture and flooring. We knocked down the wall that divided the kitchen and living area ourselves (which was great fun!). Then, the building team plastered every wall and ceiling, fitted a new kitchen and bathroom, installed central heating and new electrics. They laid a wood floor on the ground floor, and we had the carpets fitted upstairs. All the decoration and staging was done by Kirsty and Beau. We are very happy with the finished product after our journey in property developing!
Dover renovation project
We got the keys to this end of terrace, 3 bed property on the 1st of December 2022, as part of our journey with BULA Homes. Dan and Kirsty started the home renovation by stripping the walls immediately! The trades began two days later to make the most of the time before the Christmas break. The renovation took 9 weeks in total; we installed brand new double glazing throughout and a new front door. We relocated some walls upstairs to create a beautiful bathroom complete with a separate shower. The downstairs storeroom was insulated and fitted with a toilet and a utility area. We also had new plastering throughout, along with new flooring, doors, skirting, architraves, and kitchen. Additionally, we updated the electrics and plumbing. It truly looks and feels like a different house, showcasing our commitment to property developing!
Dartford budget staging & renovation
We had a very small budget to stage our property for sale, following tips from BULA Homes on home renovation. We painted the entire house white, with a few feature walls in a soothing sage green. We decluttered, added plenty of plants, and rearranged the furniture. The bathroom required the most attention, so we purchased a couple of wood slat panels to create a bath-side and feature boxing, which made a world of difference in our property developing journey!
